Meet Our Board
Theresa Gray, Co-founder and President of CLAY Ministries married the love of her life 50 years ago. Together they have parented nine children and revel in the joy of eighteen grandchildren. She is retired from 30 years in Finance management and spends the majority of her time evangelizing by promoting the lay consecrated life as a pathway to holiness. She was instrumental in establishing the Divine Mercy Perpetual Adoration Chapel in the Diocese of Covington in 1998 which still remains open.
Julia "Judy" Gieske, is a Co-Founder and Secretary of CLAY Ministries. She and her husband Walter of sixty-one years are parents to fourteen children and thirty-eight grandchildren. Judy's joy and exemplary life has been a model to all those that know her. She has been involved in music ministry, the prolife movement, and other ministries for sixty-one years. Judy brings practical ideas to make very relevant contributions along with her valuable spiritual insights to complex situations.
Pat Bethell, Co-founder and Treasurer for CLAY Ministries has been married to her best friend Jeff for 47 years. They have two children and seven grandchildren. Pat worked as Father John McGuire’s secretary and assistant for his Mission Share, Inc., for twenty years, building churches and assisting the poor in Cali, Colombia, South America and Mexico. Pat started “Rosary on the Lawn” where, in the months of May and October, parishoners are invited to pray a communal rosary on the lawn of their church.
Don Able, Co-Founder and Vice President of CLAY Ministries, has been married to his sweetheart for 40 years and have one daughter. After thirty-seven years he retired from Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati as Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer. Don is active in various ministries within his parish and the Diocese of Covington, KY. For the past seven years he has volunteered for mission work with Mustard Seed Communities in Jamaica at Jacob's Ladder building homes for the handicap.
